Dr. Christina Antoine MD, MHSA, MBA, RRT
President
Dr. Christina Antoine is originally from Linden Guyana, migrated to the United States, and graduated from Nassau Community College. She obtained her Medical Degree (MD) at the American University of Antigua, Antigua & Barbuda, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Davenport University, and a Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from St. Joseph College of Maine. Dr. Antoine completed her residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Antoine has been in the medical field for 28 years, six as a Medical Doctor, ten years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and twelve years in various positions such as secretary, office manager, medical office assistant, and phlebotomist, to name a few.
After residency, Dr. Antoine provided medical services as a Nocturnist at Southside Hospital – Northwell Health, Bayshore, New York. While in Suffolk county, she became highly involved in community service; she was a co-founder of a multi-specialty volunteer group that provided the community with disease-specific education, women empowerment classes, and assistance with influenza vaccination.
Dr. Antoine was a co-lead physician for the implementation of the Northwell Health Telehospitalist Program and was an integral part of designing, implementing, and expanding the program to include services such as
- telehospitalist surge admission assistance,
- telemedicine PA night cross-coverage,
- Stepdown unit overnight telemedicine cross-coverage,
- Telemedicine overnight Resident 1:1 supervision.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she piloted an overnight telemedicine MD to RN evaluation for rapid medical intervention to prevent patients from clinically deteriorating. Additionally, she assisted with the telemedicine nursing home cross-coverage optimization.
Dr. Antoine provides medical services at Vassar Brother Hospital, Poughkeepsie, New York, and James J. Peter Veteran Affairs Hospital, Bronx, New York.
